Education Our education system must also adapt to a world changing faster than ever before. Advances in artificial intelligence and automation will reshape the economy, and some jobs that exist today will no longer exist by the time students graduate. Preparing students for this reality is not optional – it’s part of our responsibility to them. Economy Too many young people graduate without the tools to start something of their own. I will push for hands-on business curricula, mentorships with local entrepreneurs, and real-world projects that teach budgeting, sales, leadership, and accountability. Infrastructure / Transportation We will coordinate across agencies to remove bottlenecks, and offer expedited lanes for safety repairs, accessibility upgrades, and small-business survival needs – without lowering safety or environmental standards. Immigration Immigration is a complex issue. However, I believe there is room for practical, lawful solutions that balance enforcement with fairness. For long-standing, law-abiding residents without legal status, there should be clearly defined, lawful pathways – under appropriate conditions – that allow individuals to come forward, comply with the law, and work toward legal status without undermining public safety or the integrity of our immigration system. Education Our students deserve an education that prepares them for life. I will champion rigorous academics, daily health and fitness habits, and schools that serve healthier food options. Because what we feed our kids fuels how they learn and grow. Housing I will advance housing solutions that prioritize local families over speculative and institutional investment. That includes identifying areas dedicated to affordable rentals and purchases and requiring developer cooperation to deliver housing that working families can afford. Infrastructure / Transportation We will cut review times for building, grading, and related permits by setting clear service-level targets, adding same-day or over-the-counter approvals for simple, low-risk work, and expanding online status tracking so applicants can see exactly where their permit sits. Infrastructure / Transportation I support managed, responsible growth that ensures infrastructure and public services keep pace with development. Growth must respect existing neighborhoods, protect zoning integrity, and reflect the voices of the communities most affected. Education Teachers should be regarded on the same level as other highly respected professionals, such as doctors, engineers, and lawyers, reflecting the responsibility we entrust them with every day. I will fight for competitive compensation, supportive working conditions, and real career development so we can attract and retain excellent educators. Economy Small businesses are the backbone of our community. I will streamline and redirect grants and available funds to neighborhood small businesses, cut unnecessary red tape, and focus support on the local employers who create jobs and strengthen our communities. Education We will expand access to tutoring, healthy school meals, after-school programs, mentorship, and first-job pipelines. There is no reason our kids cannot succeed and become community role models – our job is to remove barriers and provide the tools to get them there. Environment / Energy At the same time, we must continue, and strengthen, efforts to protect clean waterways, preserve open space, maintain quality parks, and safeguard the character that defines District 6. Environmental stewardship and strong schools are not optional priorities; they are central to our identity and to the future we are building for our families.
