Residents want to protect what makes our community special and avoid the kind of overdevelopment seen in other areas. At the same time, the costs of schools, public safety, and state mandates continue to rise. Buddy believes the responsible path forward is to pursue carefully considered revenue opportunities that protect taxpayers while ensuring the long-term quality of life that makes Calvert such a special place to live, work, and raise a family. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Keeping Calvert County safe is a core responsibility of county government. Buddy has supported investments in law enforcement, emergency services, and the resources first responders need to protect our communities. He will continue prioritizing public safety so residents can count on reliable emergency services when they need them most. Infrastructure / Transportation As a peninsula with limited land, Calvert County must plan carefully for the future. Buddy believes growth must be balanced with infrastructure, community priorities, and land preservation so the county remains the kind of place families are proud to call home. He will continue supporting policies that protect farmland, open space, and the long-term quality of life residents value.
