Economy Elliott can remember when Pomona was booming with promise and opportunity. It’s time that someone brings back prosperity and gets more businesses to invest in Pomona. The amount of overgrown vacant lots and boarded up businesses that can be found all over the city are a glaring indication that not enough work is being done to make Pomona thrive. With the near-constant threat of bankruptcy looming over the city, we need a champion to help balance the city’s budget by increasing revenue. Infrastructure / Transportation Protect Our Parks and Green Spaces. Infrastructure / Transportation Every day it seems that there is more and more distasteful activity happening on Holt Boulevard, while little is being done to slow or stop it. Even as many of the businesses along the Holt corridor either remain vacant or struggle to maintain their storefronts, “business” of a different kind has boomed. It needs to change.
