Education The funding of college education should proceed in the same way as K-12. If we want to subsidize Iowa citizens to go to college (because of the positive externalities), then the best way is to attach the money to the student, rather than giving money directly to the Regents schools. Drug Policy Regardless of the practical benefits of legalizing drugs, the chief reason for legalizing them is philosophical. Among a free people, adult citizens who have made it through 8th grade own their own bodies, and it is quite simply none of the government's business what they put into that body. If the government wants to restrict drug use among children or people who didn't finish 8th grade, then I would argue that is within the legitimate purview of the government. But, the government of a free people has absolutely no business restricting what adult citizens put into their bodies.
