Past Experience

{"skills":"I've earned an Advanced Certificwte of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities; have completed significant post-graduate education in Public Administration, completed several executive leadership training courses with the FBI and build close working relationships with dozens of local elected leaders in Washington.","achievements":"As a Councilmember and a former city Planning Commission member, I've worked to bring affordable housing to our city while expertly managing growth, ensured funding to help maintain our parks and roads, and aggressively supported enhancing our public safety and policing capabilities.","responsibility":"I've managed budgets in excess of $50 million per year and supervised up to 400 employees"}

My Top Issues

Properly fund emergency services

Our city's police staff per 1,000 residents is significantly below the state and national average.

Attracting and retaining businesses

Our sales tax base, one of the primary components of our city's general fund, lags behind local communities. West Richland must aggressively attract and retain local business.

Balance development with neighborhood preservation

Our city is undergoing a transformation with the unprecedented development of large amounts of agricultural land. This growth planning must be comprehensive and balanced to ensure the overall character of our suburban, family-friendly is preserved.

Who I'm Running Against
