The largest team I have led professionally is 25.
I have been volunteering with youth in this town for 17 years.
I coach adults and youth on leadership.
What really qualifies me for this position is that I lived here until I was 10 and came back 24 years ago with my wife to start our family.
I love this town and I believe I have a better vision for Snohomish
My Top Issues
Promoting efficiency and accountability in government spending
Four years ago, Snohomish had millions in surplus. Today we’re running low. The city must live within its means and operate with a balanced budget.
Pot shops in town
During the July 15th 2025 Council meeting at about 23:20. Council Member Burke suggested the city revisit its ban on cannabis sales.
Council Member Guzak asked what steps would be required to rescind the current ban.
Council Member Flynn stated he was interested in understanding the potential financial benefits.
It was stated that the Council will be taking up cannabis sales in the Fall.
The City has since confirmed that they will be taking up the issue later this year or early next.
Speaking personally... There are already pot shops to the north and south of town that wouldn't be going away. The two in town locations I have heard proposed are Snohomish station and another location on Ave D. If that is the case that turns Bickford/Ave D into Pot Shop row. Combine that with the four-story apartment building zoning and it could feel like Casino Road.
Remember to watch the Council meeting agendas. Your voice should be heard.
Water and Sewer Rates
The city’s plan to triple water rates by 2029 is unacceptable. With record tax increases statewide, Snohomish should be doing everything it can to ease the financial burden on families.
