Healthcare Prescription drugs, doctor visits, and checkups must be accessible and affordable for all Ohioans. I’ve seen far too many stories of seniors cutting their pills in half or having to choose between filling their prescription or paying a utility bill. I believe healthcare is a human right, and we need to act with urgency to reduce the cost of every aspect of health. Housing As a loan processor, I saw firsthand the struggles people are facing when trying to buy a home. We have to put an emphasis on affordable housing and fight back when investment companies swoop in from out of state and buy up all the single family homes on the market. Education Our local schools desperately need new buildings, but every ask to the voters in the form of yearly levies and bonds seems like another hardship for taxpayers to bear. No one should be in a position where they risk being priced out of their home due to tax increases, or they have to watch their kids or grandkids get a sub-par education because the city can’t pay for the resources they need. The state government knows that our current school funding is unconstitutional. It’s unfair that our community and our children are paying the price. I will make public school funding a top priority so that every child in every zip code gets a high quality education.
