My Top Issues

Infrastructure / Transportation

We must continue enforcing our vacation rental ordinances through diligent code compliance. While compliance is always the ultimate goal, enforcement has also generated revenue that helps offset ad valorem taxes and supports city services.

Housing

We must actively lobby the State of Florida during the next legislative cycle to secure additional affordable housing allocations, that will allow multiple units to be built, with an emphasis on workforce housing.

Taxes / Budget

The deep well settlement remains a critical project. We must keep it on schedule and continue pursuing external funding sources—particularly state and federal grants—to reduce reliance on local tax dollars and fees.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Moving Forward with the City of Marathon, my priority is to continue delivering the city as a service for Marathon residents and visitors. To do this effectively, we must maintain a focus on staff training and ensure we are appropriately staffed to provide the highest quality of service.
