Taxes / Budget We are projected to have a $68 billion dollar deficit next year, even while we’re told the economy is “doing great”. That is some epic mismanagement of our taxpayer dollars. Vote Gus, and I’ll be a force for fiscal discipline. Housing The housing crisis is getting worse, even though California is losing population. And the legislature wants to solve that by allowing developers to build massive apartment complexes in your neighborhood, whether you like it or not. Vote Gus, and I’ll work to protect your right to have your neighborhood be the way you want it to be. Environment / Energy We have the highest gas prices and the highest electricity prices in America, and PG&E was just given the green light to raise the average family’s electricity bill another $34.50 per month. Vote Gus, and I’ll work to get California producing more energy, so that prices come down, and I’ll work to lower our gas taxes, so that working families can make ends meet.
