Environment / Energy I promise to strive for an Arizona that protects our environment, pushes for sustainable practices, and builds the infrastructure to keep our state clean, beautiful, and safe from climate disaster. Education I promise to uphold the constitutional principle that higher education in this state should be "as nearly free as possible." I will support a state budget that adequately funds public universities and community colleges, and I will promote alternative forms of higher education, like vocational schools and certificate programs. Education I will advocate for nothing less than full funding for public K-12 schools to give ALL students access to high-quality schools and education. I will not support increased funding to the school voucher programs that take money away from our public schools and promote unregulated private education. Guns I support limiting access to assault rifles and other high-powered weaponry that have no place in our everyday communities. I support legislation like Ethan's Law that would require the safe and secure storing of guns in homes where minors are present. I support regulating gun sales, especially those at gun shows and similar venues, in order to keep guns out of the hands of violent criminals and domestic abusers. Civil Rights There are those in the queer community who are most vulnerable to legislative attack: trans and gender non-conforming people of color, queer and trans kids in schools, Native two-spirit peoples, queer unhoused or immigrant individuals, and so many more. I promise to uplift the voices and stories of these communities while fighting for the things we all need to live happily and openly. Abortion / Contraception I promise to advocate for the rights of all people to make their own choices regarding their reproductive care, regardless of circumstance or situation. I support the Arizonans for Abortion Access Act and believe we should go even further as we enshrine the right to an abortion into the Arizona Constitution.
