Environment / Energy The catastrophic 1993 fire lingers in every local’s memory. We must continue managing the urban/wildland interface between where people live and our open space through the best available science and strategic vegetation thinning. Environment / Energy I have over 25 years of work experience in marine and land conservation. I'll work to preserve the remaining acres of open space and implement our climate action plan to help build climate resiliency in town, on our beaches, and in the hills. Arts / Culture I will work to identify and support creative live-work solutions that align with our town's character, including a land trust dedicated to artists’ live- work space. Housing Affordable housing and small businesses I am pro-affordable housing solutions that contribute to Laguna’s character and seek solutions that build diversity, energize our downtown, and support a pedestrian—and bike-friendly community. Legislation I believe in the critical balance between our economy, quality of life, and natural environment. Economy Streamlining permit processes for businesses and property owners I aim to make the permitting and development process for homeowners and small businesses objective, clear, and efficient. Legislation Laguna Canyon has some of the last remaining coastal sage scrub habitat left in the world. In all decisions, my goal is to consider the changing climate and our critical environmental resources.
