Education Every student deserves access to quality education, small class sizes, modern facilities, and well-supported teachers. I will fight to ensure our schools have the funding they need to succeed — without shifting the burden onto working families. Infrastructure / Transportation Proactive urban development means balancing growth with sustainability and equity, while also directing development toward affordable housing, essential amenities, and vibrant commercial areas that serve diverse populations. Infrastructure / Transportation Harford residents need better options to get to work, school, and appointments. I will push to add more buses, extend routes deeper into residential areas, and add later evening and weekend service so transportation works for everyone, not just during weekday rush hours. Education Challenging books in the curriculum are essential. They encourage critical thinking, broaden perspectives, and help students grapple with complex ideas that shape society. Banning books limits access to diverse voices and silences stories that foster empathy, understanding, and growth. Protecting these works ensures that education remains a place of inquiry, not censorship. Housing Limit bulk home purchases by large landlords and corporate investors. Government Reform Introduce Ranked Choice Voting for local races and publicly-funded elections so big money doesn’t drown out community voices. Infrastructure / Transportation Some roads throughout the County go months or even years without treatment, leaving gaping potholes and unintended road hazards. I will do my part to ensure repairs are done in a timely manner. Environment / Energy Safeguard Harford County’s forests, waterways, and farmland from unchecked development. Housing Make it easier for first-time homebuyers to purchase a home in Harford County — not big corporations or hedge funds. Housing Support policies that empower communities by giving renters a collective voice to negotiate fair housing conditions, prevent exploitation, and push back against unjust evictions. Strong tenant protections help ensure housing stability, affordability, and equity—treating shelter as a basic right rather than a commodity. Housing Fund county-owned affordable housing and provide more dignified shelter options for unhoused residents. Environment / Energy Zoning policies should preserve public green spaces that provide recreation, environmental benefits, and community health. When done thoughtfully, zoning can shape communities that are livable, inclusive, and resilient for generations. Housing Cut red tape for the construction of affordable homes, and prioritize development that keeps our communities inclusive. Environment / Energy Plan development with resilience in mind — so Harford County is ready for the environmental challenges of the future. Infrastructure / Transportation At the same time, infrastructure—especially roads and transit—must be planned to handle increased use, reducing congestion and ensuring safe, efficient movement throughout the city. Wages / Job Benefits Support unions and protect the right of Harford County workers to organize for fair wages, benefits, and safe workplaces.
