Taxes / Budget Taxpayer dollars should be used wisely and transparently. I will prioritize efficient operations, reduce waste, and ensure decisions are made with due diligence, community input, transparency, and accountability. The role of the superintendent is to support schools and strengthen community relationships—not to compete with or replace existing educational opportunities. Education Schools exist to serve students, not systems. I will reduce unnecessary bureaucracy so administrators can focus on their school’s mission and vision, educators can focus on teaching, and students can focus on success. Education Teachers and site administrators know their students and schools best. I will support their professional judgment and ensure that the relationship between the Superintendent’s Office and Sutter County schools is one of respect, collaboration, and support rather than top-down enforcement. I will make sure that our school communities have the tools and flexibility they need to achieve their goals and promote student success.
