Housing The cost of housing is increasing everywhere in the world, but it has become a huge burden on Californians. We need to increase the supply of housing to reduce the cost. The traditional solution of ‘just subsidize it’ does not solve the underlying issues, and pushes up prices for everyone. California needs regulatory reform that makes it easier for new housing stock to be built and a plan on how to connect new communities to infrastructure and jobs. Criminal Justice / Public Safety For various reasons it is very hard to force someone into treatment for their addictions, and so it typically falls to the justice system. California needs a sentencing enhancement for those who have committed a crime to feed their addiction so they can remain in custody to complete their rehabilitation.
