Past Experience
I am running as a petitioning candidate because I believe our community deserves leadership that puts Avon first, not party politics. Ten years ago, I joined a local political party because I wanted to get involved in our community—I wanted to be part of the solution. However, over the last several years, we have seen politics become increasingly divided, creating an "us vs. them" mentality that serves no one well. I also witnessed a tremendous focus on national politics and rhetoric that ignored the real problems facing Avon and our schools.
That's why I decided to break with the party. As an independent candidate, I don't answer to party leaders or partisan agendas. I answer only to Avon voters and students. This allows me to focus entirely on what matters most: ensuring our schools provide the best possible education for every child in our community, regardless of political affiliation. Our students deserve leaders who put their needs first, not party politics.
My Top Issues
Supporting initiatives against discrimination
All students should feel comfortable and safe in school
Implementing sound financial management practices to maintain balanced budgets
Effective use of taxpayer money to keep the burden and still meeting the needs of our students.
Local and non-partisan
Focus on issues here in Avon, not on political or national narratives. Avon first.
