He will advocate for applying a "smart strategy," similar to the city's recent upgrades to its wastewater and sewer systems, to ensure the long-term health and vitality of our coastline. Housing Saco's population has grown by 5% in the last five years, creating a housing shortage that has put pressure on property taxes. Jeff pledges to manage this growth responsibly by supporting completion of the city's Housing Action Plan. His goal is to create more housing options, including affordable and higher-density housing, to ease the burden on taxpayers and support the community's future. Economy He aims to rebalance the tax burden by attracting new retail, commercial, and industrial businesses to the city. By building on past successes, such as improved city planning and strong inter-agency partnerships, he plans to leverage the location of the new school to boost growth along Route 1 and revitalize the area north of I-195, connecting these new efforts to the historic downtown.
