Economy On the City Council, she will work to bring more high-paying jobs to Henderson, cut red tape to make it easier to open and operate your own business, and keep taxes low. Education On the City Council, Jennifer will work with the school board and the legislature to pass record investments and make sure Henderson schools are getting the resources they need so our kids have every opportunity for success. Education Jennifer knows that an education should not end after high school. That’s why she supports investing in vocational programs to ensure that those who want to enter the workforce have the skills they need and to keep them right here in Henderson. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Jennifer also knows the dangers fentanyl poses to our kids and community. As a Commissioner on the City of Henderson’s Blue Ribbon Commission on Education, Jennifer made combating fentanyl overdose a top priority. On the City Council, she’ll work with her colleagues to punish drug traffickers and give law enforcement officers the tools they need to make us safer. Healthcare On the City Council, Jennifer will fight to make sure everyone in Henderson can access the health care they need. She’ll work to bring more providers to Henderson and bring down wait times to see a doctor because when your kid is sick, it should be hours, not days or weeks, to get the care they need. Infrastructure / Transportation Jennifer also believes that part of a growing community means great roads and sidewalks. On the City Council, Jennifer will make sure that new development doesn’t mean new traffic headaches and congestion on the roads. Housing And Jennifer will fight to make sure homes are owned by families, not Wall Street. She will take on predatory landlords who charge bogus fees and fight to prevent giant corporations from buying up entire communities and driving up costs.. Education From energy production and storage, to technology and high-tech manufacturing, Jennifer believes that Henderson can lead the way through investing in education at every level, apprenticeships, and certificate programs. Jennifer knows that one of the best ways to attract new business to the local level is to have a well-educated workforce. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Ensuring that law enforcement in Henderson has the resources they need will not only make our community more safe, but will help lower everyday costs, like car insurance, for everyone.
