Education Early childhood intervention is key to the future success for all students. I support LISD staff continuing to develop this programming and enhancing the opportunities currently provided by The District. Education Striving for 100% extra-curricular involvement for all middle and high school students. Students who have an activity they are passionate about perform at a higher level in school and stay in school through graduation. I advocated for this as part of the Superintendent's goals for 2021-2022. Education Maintain our STEM, CTE, and other specialized programming and provide resources to keep these programs on the cutting edge and available to ALL students across the district who want to participate. Education Placing great focus on support for our current and future campus principals to be the best they can be. Principals are our boots on the ground and our face of each campus. The principal is the instructional leader and sets the climate and tone for the campus. LISD must also be filling the pipeline for future leaders in the district with learning opportunities. Education Support and build upon community partnerships with programs such as Communities in Schools, Love Pacs and Collin College and NCTC.
