Criminal Justice / Public Safety I am committed to supporting law enforcement, while taking a holistic approach to address the root causes of crime - lack of economic opportunity and access to support services, decades of systemic racism and declining public schools. Guns I’m committed to working in partnership with law enforcement agencies to prevent and respond to incidents of gun violence, while balancing the rights of legal and responsible gun owners. Abortion / Contraception Since the Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade decision, women’s rights are being targeted across the country. Here in New York, I will make sure our state protects and welcomes all women seeking the freedom to make informed healthcare decisions about their own bodies. Taxes / Budget For too long hard-working, middle class New Yorkers have had to shoulder an undue tax burden in New York State. I will continue to take steps to remedy this and stand up for middle-class families in Albany. Wages / Job Benefits I will always support organized labor in their efforts to bring dignity and justice to workers across New York. Healthcare Every New Yorker should have access to affordable, comprehensive healthcare. We need to get more people covered and reduce healthcare costs for the hard-working families across our state.
