Environment / Energy Protecting our environment for future generations is a top priority for Joe Alvanez. He champions policies that promote renewable energy, improve air and water quality, and expand green spaces throughout District 2. Housing Joe Alvanez will fight as Supervisor to reduce housing pressure and stabilize working families across San Bernardino County. Housing He will redirect county resources toward truly affordable housing, protect existing neighborhoods from speculative overdevelopment, prioritize people over corporate giveaways, and tie county contracts and approvals to strong labor, affordability, and community benefit standards. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Joe Alvanez supports an approach to public safety that includes support our police and fire departments, implementing community-based crime prevention programs, and fostering stronger relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Immigration First, Joe understands that ICE endangers trust, safety, and stability in our communities; including for law enforcement and first responders. As Supervisor, he will protect our neighbors by limiting cooperation with CBP to the bare legal minimum and pushing to bar ICE from County property altogether.
