efficiency, empathy, transparency, data-driven decision making CIP development and improvments I've been on the planning and zoning commission for 3 years, 2 years as the chair, and have severed on several master plans and strategic planning committees.

Top Issues

Taxes / Budget Jonathan Coffman will insist that new development covers the costs of roads, water, and public safety so current residents aren’t left footing the bill. By managing city finances responsibly, investing in the right infrastructure, and avoiding wasteful “vanity projects,” we can keep taxes and fees fair while maintaining high-quality city services. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Jonathan Coffman will support police, fire, and EMS by making sure resources grow with the community, while also emphasizing community partnerships and transparency that build trust. Housing Jonathan Coffman will champion housing policies that expand options across all price points, make it easier to build innovative and walkable neighborhoods, and remove unnecessary red tape that drives up costs. By supporting diverse housing choices, we can keep Pflugerville affordable and welcoming for every stage of life. Economy Jonathan Coffman will push for development that adds to our quality of life, brings good employers to town, and strengthens our sales tax base so we keep dollars local instead of losing them to neighboring cities. Infrastructure / Transportation Jonathan Coffman will prioritize investments that keep Pflugerville moving safely and efficiently, from accelerating road projects already promised, to improving bike and pedestrian options, to supporting public transit connections across the region. Smarter mobility planning means less time in traffic and more time at home with family. Infrastructure / Transportation Jonathan Coffman will fight for a fairer system by reforming our water rate structure, expanding conservation programs, and making sure new growth pays its share instead of shifting costs onto existing residents. The result: reliable service, lower bills, and a system that works for everyone. Infrastructure / Transportation Jonathan Coffman has already worked on plans to expand and improve these spaces, and as your councilmember, he’ll keep pushing for shaded trails, safe crossings, and public art that strengthens community pride.
