Environment / Energy Jordan believes every community deserves access to affordable and healthy food. He proposes transforming underused port facilities into Essential Service Centers where groceries, produce, and small commerce can operate at below-market prices for low-income residents. These centers would be city-supported but locally owned and operated, strengthening small businesses while improving food access. Jordan also supports grants, permits, and incentives for community gardens and local urban farming. Criminal Justice / Public Safety He supports policies that protect communities from unnecessary federal intrusion and ensure local leadership prioritizes the well-being of the people who live here. Jordan also believes port partnerships should reflect values of human rights, accountability, and peaceful international cooperation. Housing Jordan believes housing policy should focus on real upward mobility for working families. Instead of allowing land to sit unused while housing costs rise, he supports taxing developers who leave land vacant and reinvesting those resources into spacious multi-density housing that accommodates families of all sizes. He also supports zoning policies that expand subsidized council housing because safe and stable housing should be treated as a basic human right. Environment / Energy Jordan supports rezoning the Phillips 66 refinery site from industrial use to historic preservation, fully decontaminating the land, and returning it to the Tongva people. Infrastructure / Transportation Jordan believes redevelopment should strengthen connections between neighborhoods and expand economic opportunity. One priority is building a rail connection linking San Pedro and Wilmington to the Long Beach Blue Line, giving residents better access to jobs, education, and services across the region. He also believes large corporations operating in the district should contribute fairly to the communities they profit from. Environment / Energy Recommit the City of Los Angeles to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
