Healthcare Providing medical services to those in need, especially the elderly, is a definite priority. A solution requires working together: state and federal, legislators, health care providers, social service groups, etc. This is not a partisan issue. Until we recover from the economic effects of the pandemic, expansion of Medicaid to those in need of health insurance is a critical necessity. Local taxpayers should expect that their voice is heard through their legislator during this initiative. Taxes / Budget Find ways to finance Maine's most important needs without raising taxes and fees, without passing the costs to local property tax payers, without cutting state services or financing the state budget on the backs of state employees and retirees.
