Criminal Justice / Public Safety Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of strong communities. I’ll support hiring more police officers, expanding take-home car programs, increasing EMS staffing, and advocating for new and modern firehouses. Public safety must always remain a top priority. Infrastructure / Transportation When development occurs, it must contribute to the roads, schools, public safety, and stormwater systems needed to support it. I’ll support policies that ensure growth helps fund the infrastructure and community improvements required in the areas where it happens. Infrastructure / Transportation New development must match the capacity of our communities. I’ll push back on projects that overload our schools, roads, and public resources. Growth should be smart, planned, and respectful of the neighborhoods we already have, not rushed or forced onto communities that cannot support it. Infrastructure / Transportation Our students and families deserve better. I’ll fight for the classrooms, roads, and public facilities our area has been denied, and make sure growth never outpaces the infrastructure needed to support our communities. Taxes / Budget Families balance their budgets, government should too. I’ll fight wasteful spending, demand transparency, and make sure every tax dollar is used wisely to deliver real results for our communities. Economy Essex, Middle River, and White Marsh deserve real investment and opportunity. I’ll work to attract good-paying jobs, support local businesses, and bring responsible redevelopment that strengthens our commercial corridors and improves quality of life. Taxes / Budget Rising taxes and costs are forcing longtime residents out of the communities they helped build. I’ll propose property tax relief measures to help seniors stay in their homes and support policies that keep District 8 affordable for working families. Our neighbors should be able to retire and remain in the community they love. Environment / Energy Our land and waterways define District 8. I’ll fight to preserve open space, protect our rivers and creeks, and advance conservation efforts that protect the natural beauty and environmental health of our community for future generations.
