My Top Issues

Taxes / Budget

Like a business, the city of Fairhope needs to live within its means. We need to have fiscal restraint and not have waste in the budget.

Taxes / Budget

Let's lower, or eliminate, the local grocery sales tax on life's essentials. Not only is this good for the community, but it will attract residents from surrounding areas to shop in Fairhope.

Infrastructure / Transportation

A reputation is something that takes a lifetime to earn but only a moment to lose. Our parks, our downtown, our festivals, and our parades must be held to the highest standards. If we want Fairhope to continue to be the "Utopia on the Bay" then we must work hard to ensure our facilities and actions support that charm, not diminish it. Let's have the best parks, facilities, and downtown in the state! That means engaging our businesses, requiring a standard of excellence, and properly funding efforts to attract tourists and residents.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Let's give our city, and infrastructure, time to catch-up to the massive growth we've already experienced. My proposal would pause those large tract, high-density projects that add too many additional residents too quickly.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Sewage spilling into Mobile Bay after storms, water shortages in the summer, and traffic and congestion getting worse every year. Our growth is moving faster than our ability to support it. We need more improvements, managed growth, and plans for the future. Let's have a plan to solve the next 30 years of growth and development, and fix our current problems as quickly as possible.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

We need to ensure our first responders have the resources they need to operate.
