By advocating for greater oversight and ensuring large developments are as difficult as possible to get approved, we can restore confidence and slow the population growth. Infrastructure / Transportation Joshua Murray's position on roads and transportation is centered on prioritizing long-term, responsible infrastructure planning over incentivizing rapid, high-density residential development. Criminal Justice / Public Safety He is also against the establishment of residential developments through special districts, known as Public Improvement Districts (PID) and Municipal Utility Districts (MUD), and is committed to safeguarding resources for our first responders. Economy Joshua Murray has taken a critical stance on how Economic Development Corporations (EDCs) operate, specifically their use of consultants who are paid to spend tax dollars. His position is rooted in his broader campaign themes of promoting government transparency and ensuring sustainable growth in the City of Lavon, something that the use of consultants can make more difficult. Infrastructure / Transportation Joshua Murray understands one of the most pressing needs for the city of Lavon, both now and in the coming decade, is the development and enhancement of infrastructure that is essential city services and creates a conducive work environment for our employees.
