Environment / Energy Capping carbon emissions via a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. Infrastructure / Transportation Improving public transit routes and frequency. Infrastructure / Transportation Implementing measures to improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion. Housing Renter protections, enforcing stricter regulations on landlords to maintain safe and habitable living conditions for tenants, and strengthening tenant protections against eviction and displacement through the city charter. Housing Hiring dedicated city staff to help residents with mortgages, protecting tenants against unfair evictions and displacement, financing, and tenant’s rights. Infrastructure / Transportation Promoting alternative transportation options like biking and walking via collaborating with the metro and county. Environment / Energy Ensuring that any infrastructure projects pay close attention to environmental impacts, take carbon footprint into account, and put an incentive on green infrastructure projects. Infrastructure / Transportation Prioritizing pedestrian safety infrastructure, including hiring more crossing guards and improving urban lighting.
