Top Issues

Taxes / Budget First, department heads and subject matter experts will present their own budgets, opinions, findings, and recommendations to the Mayor, Council, and public. Taxes / Budget I will restore public trust in the Mayor’s office. I will never force debt or unvetted projects on the taxpayers of Johns Creek without their input first. Additionally, I will always conduct myself in an ethical fashion when making decisions on procurement practices and city expense accounts for the office of Mayor. Taxes / Budget Secondly, to ensure there is governmental efficiency, Johns Creek needs an internal auditor who reports to the Mayor and Council. This role will ensure accountability and transparency, financial responsibility, detection and prevention of fraud, and will enhance efficiency and effectiveness through financial, performance, and compliance audits. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Building a fifth fire station. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Ensuring salaries are competitive for Police and Fire. Infrastructure / Transportation TSPLOST - I will ensure these funds are no longer misappropriated but rather designated to improving transportation as approved by the voters. Taxes / Budget I am committed to balancing the budget each year without using reserves, keeping taxes low, funding essential services, and eliminating wasteful spending. I will never sacrifice critical services for projects promoted by those who don’t even live in Johns Creek. Infrastructure / Transportation The Boardwalk at Town Center is estimated to be a 40 million park that was designed without restrooms. This is unacceptable and I will ensure that restrooms are built before the park is completed. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Increasing staffing levels. Infrastructure / Transportation I will work to update this plan from 15 years ago as well as ensure Johns Creek’s infrastructure and policy recommendations are accurately represented in the North Fulton Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
