Housing I support smart growth and faster approvals to address the urgent need for housing at all income levels. Housing We need to do more to connect people experiencing homelessness with mental health care, substance use treatment, and shelter. But we also have to enforce the laws already on the books and hold repeat offenders and system abusers accountable. Infrastructure / Transportation We need balanced investments that improve mobility, reduce traffic, and make commuting safer and more efficient for everyone. Environment / Energy We need a significant reduction in our GHG emissions by 2030. California has a plan to achieve that reduction using mitigation measures, and I will work for its implementation. Environment / Energy We also need science-based climate adaptations, such as fire prevention, flood control, beach retention, water conservation, and putting less plastic into our Ocean. Housing We need to build responsibly near jobs and transit so families can afford to live in walkable, livable communities. Infrastructure / Transportation I support expanding public transit while recognizing that most San Diegans still rely on their cars.
