Taxes / Budget No government should spend more than it has and should not incur debts that burden future generations. I support balancing the budget without raising taxes. Infrastructure / Transportation I support using public-private partnerships to fund and maintain infrastructure and encourage private investment in transportation, broadband, and utilities. We must prioritize maintenance over flashy new projects that drain local budgets. Housing I support zoning flexibility that allows for more housing types, streamlines permitting and approvals, and reviews and sunsets outdated regulations. Criminal Justice / Public Safety End incarceration for victimless crimes: I support major reforms to our justice system that often punishes people for victimless crimes while slapping the wrists of those who harm or abuse others—including women and children. Social Services I support mutual aid, faith-based, and nonprofit-led initiatives to address homelessness, poverty, and addiction. Government Reform I oppose government overreach into the affairs of consenting adults, homeowners, and businesses. Government Reform I support performance-based contracting for non-core functions such as road maintenance, IT support, and facility operations. I would encourage private-sector participation through public-private partnerships. Government Reform I oppose flock cameras and other intrusive surveillance mechanisms that allow government overreach into the private lives of citizens. Economy I support reducing unnecessary licensing and bureaucratic red tape.
