My Top Issues

Legislation

Restoring the Farmington Community Library to its once-proud status as a jewel of our community. Over the past few years, the library has been used as a political football. I pledge to vote for library board trustees who will put the best interests of the library — not a political agenda — first.

Government Reform

As your representative, I won’t blindly approve rezonings and redevelopments without first considering how those affect you and your neighborhood. I will insist that new development be compatible with existing neighborhoods, avoid destroying historic places and natural areas, and minimize the amount of new traffic.

Legislation

Smart parking partnerships that incentivize business owners to make private parking available for public use — and make it available for long-term parking, so you don’t have to worry about getting a ticket if you want to stay in Farmington all afternoon.

Arts / Culture

Revitalizing the Civic Theater so it remains a cultural hub in the era of streaming.

Legislation

Updating the food truck ordinance to make it easier for food trucks to operate in areas of downtown where people gather — think for events like the Friday night concerts at the pavilion.

Arts / Culture

Boosting public art through introduction of a mural ordinance.
