Top Issues

Arts / Culture Revitalizing the Civic Theater so it remains a cultural hub in the era of streaming. Legislation Restoring the Farmington Community Library to its once-proud status as a jewel of our community. Over the past few years, the library has been used as a political football. I pledge to vote for library board trustees who will put the best interests of the library — not a political agenda — first. Government Reform As your representative, I won’t blindly approve rezonings and redevelopments without first considering how those affect you and your neighborhood. I will insist that new development be compatible with existing neighborhoods, avoid destroying historic places and natural areas, and minimize the amount of new traffic. Arts / Culture Boosting public art through introduction of a mural ordinance. Legislation Updating the food truck ordinance to make it easier for food trucks to operate in areas of downtown where people gather — think for events like the Friday night concerts at the pavilion. Legislation Smart parking partnerships that incentivize business owners to make private parking available for public use — and make it available for long-term parking, so you don’t have to worry about getting a ticket if you want to stay in Farmington all afternoon.
