Economy I support smart planning that strengthens each town's identity, supports local businesses, and ensures highway improvements enhance community life rather than dilute it. Housing Fee and process efficiencies that make housing attainable without lowering building or safety standards. Environment / Energy I support the protection of open space and floodplains. When these areas are thoughtfully preserved, it reinforces the community's identity, supports long-term environmental health, and maintains the quality of life that draws people to Douglas County in the first place. Taxes / Budget I pledge to provide conservative, accountable stewardship of taxpayer dollars, know what our money is being spent on, and make sure the project/job meets the provisions of our adopted Codes. Environment / Energy I believe growth should be guided by the adopted Master Plan, not driven by sprawl or short-term interests. Protecting open space reduces conflicts between land uses, protects water and wildlife, and helps keep traffic, infrastructure costs, and taxes under control. Environment / Energy Lake Tahoe is one of our greatest treasures, and we must protect it while ensuring our community can thrive. Douglas County must finish and adopt the Tahoe Douglas Area Plan. Housing Housing located near services, jobs, and existing infrastructure, not scattered across rural lands. Infrastructure / Transportation I will strive to address infrastructure and maintenance needs — without adding new taxes. Housing Code updates and incentives that reduce unnecessary costs passed on to homebuyers.
