Compton City Mayor

Top Issues

Taxes / Budget You deserve to know where the city's money is. How much came in. How much went out. What got fixed. What is still broken. Marlow will push for a public budget page anyone can read. He will track what the State Auditor said needs fixing and post updates every month. And he will create an "Open in Compton" guide so local business owners know how to get permits and find help. Environment / Energy Fix the pipes. Plan the repairs in order. Tell the public what is being fixed and when. You should not be paying for years of delays that happened before you had any say. Taxes / Budget The State Auditor confirmed what you already know: Compton had six City Managers in six years. Nothing gets done when the boss keeps leaving. Marlow will push for clear goals for the City Manager. Every 90 days, the public gets a report: what was promised, what got done, what did not. Economy Compton does not have a tax problem. It has a "not enough business" problem. Marlow will push to bring jobs and stores to our main streets. He will bring shipping and warehouse business to our open land. He will set up a helper at City Hall so small business owners get one person who walks them through every step. No runaround. Infrastructure / Transportation You judge your city by what you see when you walk outside. Marlow will push for graffiti cleanup within 48 hours. He will push for better lights on Rosecrans, Compton Blvd, Alondra, and Long Beach Blvd. And every month, the city will post a report card so you can see what got done.
