Education Decrease Classroom Size. Education We need to work as a District to improve teacher retention, to value their input, interests and support their creativity. Education Public education is about the child, period. Every decision of the Davis School Board should have the individual student as the main focus, the driving force, and the motivating factor. Education I will work with educational entities and commit to finding ways to increase teacher retention and attract new and quality instructors. Education We should and will work to protect, preserve, and defend student privacy. Our students’ information should never be used as a bargaining tool or tendered for any use. It should stay with the student, the school, the parents, and never be used or released outside our state. Education I am a firm believer that local teachers, administrators and districts know their students’ needs better than the District School Board does. I also believe in a reduced role of the government. Let’s work together to increase local responsibility and decrease governmental overreach.
