Education SCHOOL FUNDING ​Education is the simplest way to strengthen our state’s economy and quality of life for everyone. Kansas children deserve high quality education to deal with the challenges that we all face in an ever-changing world where competition is global. When legislative leaders in Topeka favor policies that strip funding from our public schools, budget shortfalls and school closures are the consequences. Kansans deserve better. Economy Mike supports the Harris/Walz Opportunity Economy proposals and the small business initiatives included that will help boost the Kansas economy and strengthen our prosperity for ALL Kansans! Taxes / Budget TAXES I believe in fair taxation for ALL Kansans. I support tax cuts so long as they don’t result in deficits. I support reducing property taxes for Kansans. Immigration As a student of history, I believe in the importance of strong borders. I believe that the U.S. Senate immigration bill that Trump killed should be dusted off, approved and applied to the southern border. Abortion / Contraception I advocate for reproductive freedom as an essential right for all women in Kansas.
