Environment / Energy Climate change is here, and we need to take bold policy steps to transform our city into a walkable and bikeable community that is connected to mass transportation with equitable access to all those that wish to live, work, and play here. Environment / Energy Encouraging the Sustainability Business Certification Program, improving the permitting process for energy efficiency and electrification projects, and incentivizing Culver City businesses and residences to enhance energy efficiency and reduce the use of fossil fuels. Social Services Supporting persons who are experiencing homelessness by providing immediate, stable housing and mental health, job placement, and other supportive services. Housing Reforming zoning laws to allow for higher-density housing. Infrastructure / Transportation Investing in the City’s public transportation services by building a robust, connected network of dedicated bus lanes, protected bike lanes, and improved pedestrian amenities in order to prioritize safety and reduce traffic. Housing Providing incentives to developers to build low income and mixed-income units.
