Criminal Justice / Public Safety No matter where you live, we all want to make sure our families, homes, and neighborhoods are safe. That means fully funding the Sheriff’s Department, Fire and Rescue, and Community Emergency Response Team. It also means addressing the root causes of much of the crime we see today—addiction, and mental and behavioral health. Economy The best way to increase revenue for the county is to bring new and better jobs to Sandoval County. Whether in ranching, our incredible food and arts, or small businesses in every line of work, the County can do more to prepare young entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses. Environment / Energy As a rancher, I know how important clean land, air, and water are to our community. We must leave this land better than we found it, and that takes real work. We must institute stronger policies to protect our natural resources, incentivize effective agricultural and ranching methods, and ensure those who most need water are able to access it. Taxes / Budget We need to both grow the pie through more jobs and economic growth, and also ensure each community receives their fair share of funding for their unique needs.
