Housing As the leader of a local non-profit, Middleton has helped get hundreds of families into secure housing. She now serves on the bipartisan state Housing Partnership Board, delivering more housing people can afford to thousands of families across the state. In the Assembly, she will work to make it easier and faster to build more housing. Civil Rights She will work to protect all women and their reproductive rights, supports equal pay for equal work and will ensure women are well represented in Sacramento. Criminal Justice / Public Safety She has, and will continue to, fight for investments in youth violence prevention while ensuring we give law enforcement the resources they need to put dangerous criminals in prison. Economy As our Assemblymember, Middleton will address cost of living challenges by providing more housing that’s affordable, and create good-paying jobs. Guns Middleton will keep our communities safe by working to reduce gun violence by getting illegal guns off the street and requiring background checks to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.
