Environment / Energy Anderson County's future depends on safeguarding our most precious resource. I will fight to protect our water supply from outside interests, like Kyle Bass and others, who would put profit ahead of our community's health and future. Taxes / Budget Anderson County has built up a budget surplus far exceeding the amount recommended by the State of Texas. Instead of stockpiling taxpayer money, we should be using those funds responsibly to reduce the tax burden on hardworking families. I will fight to lower property tax rates and return those dollars back to the people who earned them. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Right now, violent offenders and repeat criminals are being released on low bonds, putting the public at risk. As your county judge, I will stand with law enforcement and our courts to ensure accountability and to keep dangerous criminals off our streets.
