Infrastructure / Transportation I will work to implement a planning process that adequately accounts for traffic before building. Economy I will look to better coordinate with city departments and within the community at large to bring forward ideas and solutions. Arts / Culture The City government must do a much better job working alongside the artists, historians, musicians and others who bring this to life and help create an economic engine. Environment / Energy I will work alongside established local NGOs dedicated to this and establish a City/County coordinated effort to implement sustainability initiatives. Social Services The recent closing of the FCC daycare center has brought to light a fact for many of our residents—day care is not available or affordable. My administration will work together with local NGOs, the County and others to use the power of the City to look for possible solutions—use of City/County facilities, develop Public Private Partnerships, work alongside the faith community. Housing Many struggle with basic requirements for a happy life—affordable housing, day care, transportation, recreational opportunities. I will work closely especially with the newly elected City Council District 2 representative to not only address these issues, but to work together to bring attention to the incredible opportunity this diversity brings to our city.
