Why I am Running
As a candidate running for office, I bring a strong background that directly aligns with my commitment to serving our community. I hold a master's degree in Orientation and Mobility from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, equipping me with specialized knowledge in aiding individuals with vision impairments. My professional experience includes working at a VA hospital and providing critical care in the MICU during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has honed my skills in delivering compassionate, high-quality service in high-pressure environments.
Currently, I work with low-vision and blind students, advocating for their needs and ensuring they have the resources necessary to thrive. As a mother of three, I understand the importance of creating a supportive and accessible community. I am a business owner and have a good understanding of people's needs. I deciede to get involved in my community because I decided to be the change I want to see in the community. I am tierd of lies and disappointing faces who tell me that nothing can be done about the issues in our library, school system and people wiyh disabilities. My goal is to use my expertise to enhance accessibility for disabled individuals in Benton, ensuring better access to roads and city amenities. I am dedicated to learning, growing, and giving back to Benton, and I am eager to bring my experience and passion to this role.
