Healthcare We need to champion and support programs and organizations to make healthcare accessible to all. Healthcare She supports expansion of programs such as Medicaid and WIC and investing in Grand County Human Services to alleviate economic challenges facing working families. Healthcare We need creative, collaborative ways to incentivize and support mental health care providers to be able to afford to run their business and provide services in Grand County. Education We must encourage collaboration between schools and child care centers, and champion organizations in our community who support child care and education. Economy We must concentrate on the survival of our small businesses, which make up 99% of businesses in our community, through opportunities for growth and support innovators to make their endeavors a reality. Economy Shanna supports initiatives that not only help local businesses thrive but attract entrepreneurs and new jobs to the area. Infrastructure / Transportation Broadband is an essential element for success for businesses in our community. Collaborative efforts must be supported to make broadband a reality now. Housing Bringing together community, government and the private sector, Shanna will remove barriers for affordable housing and enact policies reflecting the shared values and aspirations of Grand County residents. Ushering in a new culture of transparency and accountability, Shanna pledges to hold developers accountable through inclusionary housing ordinances and incentives for building homes that stay affordable over time. Shanna believes everyone in Grand County should have a say in how our neighborhoods grow. We should make sure our community stays strong and is welcoming and accessible to everyone who wants to be a part of it. Housing We can address this issue by prioritizing stable housing for teachers and providers.
