My Top Issues

Government Reform

Once elected to the School Board, Shannon will work to set a 2-term limit for representatives. This would allow for productive elected officials to consistently represent their constituents while also being able to see implementation of policies or procedures they worked to establish. In addition, term limits would help avoid having representatives who lose touch with their constituents and become complacent. Continuing to run for re-election isn’t always an act of service.

Government Reform

Shannon will diligently work to improve the partnerships between the School Board and parents/guardians, as well as the Board of Supervisors. In conjunction with school administration, she will regularly invite Supervisors to school events and provide visual updates of celebrations and needs. Shannon will also host open semi-annually town halls in Hartwood for the community to talk through concerns and solutions with her directly.
