Environment / Energy Beach renourishment as well as dredging the canals and Lockwood Folly Inlet must be continued. Government Reform Continue to improve on an effective, technology-driven system to provide coverage of meetings so everyone can be seen and heard. Infrastructure / Transportation After years of planning and revised planning, we need to stop planning and move forward with a community hub for EVERYONE! Criminal Justice / Public Safety Continue pursuit of strategies to provide an adequate fire department to accommodate year-round service. Environment / Energy Address the water and sewer challenges with continual upgrade and maintenance as a priority - and hopefully with Federal and State appropriations. Consider implementation of some of the strategies outlined in the water study. Infrastructure / Transportation Although controversial, nothing will change the fact that the town owns the pier property. Let's work together to create an economically viable opportunity for Holden Beach to build a state of the art facility for residents and visitors to enjoy for generations. Taxes / Budget Commitment to frugal spending; understanding we must spend what is necessary to meet the needs of the Town as identified through established strategic planning and goals. Taxes / Budget Prioritization of capital outlay projects is necessary due to limited resources. Infrastructure / Transportation Continued support of paid parking with an analysis and proposed necessary changes, as needed. Environment / Energy Address stormwater management issues based on completed study with commitment to consideration of viable solutions and resources identified to address the solutions. Taxes / Budget Treat the budget like my own personal budget, which is a bit conservative, and the expectation would be excellent accounting of finances combined with a clean audit.
