Fun Fact
Animal lover and supporter of animals...dogs...and pets. I advocate for them and help foster and place strays. another thing I like to do is ride the scrambler at state fairs. i love to read, travel and swim. I also like geology and rock hunting/hounding.
Past Experience
I have been on the senior commission working with senior citizens issues and how the city is responding to initiatives for senior citizens. The commission advocates for seniors and has events where health fairs, and other senior issues are shared in public forums. Federal Way is at a crossroads. We’re facing growing challenges—rising crime, homelessness, and a shortage of vital services for seniors, youth, and families. Now more than ever, we need leadership that listens, takes action, and ensures our tax dollars are spent wisely.
My Top Issues
Path to home ownership
I am an advocate of programs that can transition someone from living in their car to paths for home ownership. develop public and private partnerships that help with financial management to programs that qualify for help with down payments.
After school programs
programs that help teens create paths to what they enjoy or interest them and then work with mentors to help guide and support them
Addressing substance abuse and mental health issues
develop outreach programs that create more resources for those suffering from mental health and substance abuse.
Who I'm Running Against
Melissa Hamilton (Republican Party)
She has had a couple of runs at school board and is now running for an open seat. she has experience as a call operator for 911 emergency. She is backed by a mild radical/maga based group that spends a lot of time complaining during public comments at city council meetings. the group is called stand up federal way. and they have a tendency to offer comments and criticism more than solutions.
