Government Reform As a lifelong learner with a deep passion for education, I am committed to ensuring that classroom learning is not overshadowed by political battles in Austin or at the national level. I believe that strong public schools are the foundation of any good community, and we can't let political battles distract us from what is best for our students. Education Our educators are the foundation of our school district, and we must treat them that way. They work long hours, invest deeply in our children, and consistently go beyond what’s required. As a board member, I will prioritize protecting their time, respecting their professional expertise, and ensuring they can focus on what they do best — teaching. Taxes / Budget LTISD continues to face a budget deficit, and I believe our community must work together to address the deficit responsibly. That means identifying additional funding opportunities, managing our current budget wisely, and advocating for fair and appropriate funding for public schools—while communicating clearly and transparently with families and taxpayers along the way. Criminal Justice / Public Safety I’ve seen too many families cite bullying as a reason for leaving LTISD. That should concern all of us. Every student deserves to feel safe and supported. We must strengthen accountability, clarify expectations, and better integrate resources currently available. We must work on developing a culture where students and staff feel empowered to speak up without fear of retaliation. Infrastructure / Transportation I'm committed to seeing critical bond projects through to completion, including the second high school, so all students have the space, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
