Criminal Justice / Public Safety As Governor, she’ll keep backing the men and women of Kansas law enforcement — and the families they protect every day. Education Ensure that every student knows they have options when it comes to higher education – community college, technical school, independent colleges and universities. Infrastructure / Transportation As Governor, she’ll bring that same approach to state government — streamlining operations so Kansas families and small businesses can keep more of what they earn. Taxes / Budget Vicki and Joe will get the key stakeholders around the table to work on a plan that actually lowers property taxes without unfairly shifting the burden. They will work to ensure the state is consistent with its appraisal guidance and training to prevent inconsistent implementation statewide. Provide predictability for all taxpayers while committing to a partnership with local governments that encourages them to streamline their operations just like Vicki and Joe will do at the state level. Environment / Energy Vicki and Joe will fight for more transparency in the local siting process, giving communities the time to assess the pros and cons. Ensure water quality and water quantity laws are being followed and establish guardrails to protect ratepayers from the increased costs of these large loads. Infrastructure / Transportation Vicki & Joe will ban social media companies from giving access to kids under 16 without their parents consent— putting parents, not algorithms, back in charge. They will rein in AI and Big Tech so Kansas values shape the future of our state. Economy As Governor, Vicki will work to ensure our economically diverse communities have the tools that will make them successful and help us grow all of Kansas. As Secretary of Agriculture, Joe will work with the administration on trade policies that will help open markets for Kansas products. When we strengthen agriculture, we strengthen Kansas. Healthcare She’ll keep fighting the special interests that stand between Kansans and the care they need.
