Infrastructure / Transportation Growth should pay for itself. I will work to ensure that new developments and heavy industrial use cover the costs of the wear and tear they bring to our county arteries, protecting the budgets meant for our residential neighborhoods. Infrastructure / Transportation There are state and federal dollars sitting on the table designed for rural infrastructure. I will make it a priority to hunt down these "outside" dollars to bring your tax or federal land "PILT" funds back home to Park County. Infrastructure / Transportation Before we ever ask for more, we must ensure we are squeezing every bit of value out of the budget we already have. I will conduct a "top-to-bottom" review of our current road and bridge operations to eliminate waste and modernize our fleet. Taxes / Budget TABOR, (tax payer's bill of rights), doesn't stop us from funding important projects; it just ensures those projects have public buy-in. When we have a specific need, like a new bridge or better road. I will come to you with a clear plan. My opponent wants to de-bruce the county, which gives the government (commissioners) a blank check. I’m asking for a partnership based on transparency. No blank checks. Just honest results. Infrastructure / Transportation I want to empower communities. By supporting voluntary improvement districts and better equipment sharing, we can fix local problems with local input—without a county-wide tax hike.
