My Top Issues
Government Reform
Drastically limiting the size, scope, and power of government in both personal and economic life.
Taxes / Budget
Our taxes keep rising, but the problems never seem to get solved. The KY state debt is currently at $42.25 Billion and continues to climb. This is in addition to the financial crisis our Federal Government is in. With no end in sight, we need balanced budgets and smart cuts that won’t hurt the average KY home. If we want to keep some of the good programs we have for our community, we must find where we can cut spending to protect the future of KY and the promises we’ve made to our citizens.
Education
JCPS is absolutely not serving our children the way they deserve. Our budget is out of control, the administration is bloated, and we have some of the lowest standards and results for our kids of any district in the country. JCPS needs to be transparent to the public on why their budget is higher than the entire city of Louisville, yet we can’t transport our kids efficiently, provide resources for special education, or pay our teachers and bus drivers fairly. I would propose breaking up the current school district into several smaller districts. This would create manageable school districts for better representation, accountability, and outcomes for our students.
