Education It is in Mesquite's best interest to improve our local schools on many levels. Along with the availability of housing, friendly business climate, and public safety, education is a very important factor considered by companies looking to start or relocate a business. Economy I campaigned on making Mesquite a better place to bring in higher-paying distribution, industrial, and manufacturing jobs. We have had success with this, even in this economy, with the Crown Cork and Seal aluminum can factory coming to town, as well as other manufacturing businesses such as Hawaii Food Carts (a premiere manufacturer of food trailers). Going forward, I will continue to be a strong proponent of economic and land incentives to attract more industry to Mesquite! Criminal Justice / Public Safety As a City Councilman, I will continue to work to not only maintain our reputation, but to improve it by giving Mesquite Fire Rescue and Mesquite Police Department the personnel, training, and equipment they need to succeed and continue to keep our city safe! Housing The increase in the cost of real estate and rent has outpaced wage growth in this City. The City of Mesquite is actively pursuing ways to bring more housing options and availability for our workforce.
